Bridge for Change: Building sustainable futures

This week, STITCH co-organised an event together with our fellow Power of Voices partnerships: Fair for All, Fair, Green & Global Alliance, and RECLAIM Sustainability!. It turned into a genuinely inspiring day of co-learning and looking back on five years of collaboration under the programme supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Our consortium member Femke Blickman (Fair Wear) joined the opening plenary to share how the Power of Voices framework has strengthened civil society advocacy across the programme partnerships — a great way to kick off the day.

One of the breakout sessions we helped shape was “Scaling from niche to norm: A learning lab on systemic change.” Huge thanks to our facilitators — Femke Blickman (Fair Wear), Isabelle de Lijser (CNV Internationaal), Jesse Arnon (Oxfam Novib), Marieke Leegwater (Solidaridad), and Emma Vogt (Clean Clothes Campaign) — and to our moderator, Nicole Goszczynski (STITCH consortium lead, Fair Wear).

Our consortium members also co-facilitated several other rich sessions throughout the day:

  • Ruben Korevaar (Mondiaal FNV): Reduced & Redacted – What you don’t read in our reports on Civic Space

  • Andrea Spithoff (Fair Wear): Gender justice in fair value chains

  • Hendrine Stelwagen (STITCH): Promoting responsible business conduct

Shoutout to the lead partners from the other consortia for the strong collaboration: Oxfam, Both Ends and Solidaridad! A big thank-you to everyone who joined, contributed, questioned, and reflected with us.

Plenty of insights to take forward from a very energising day. The partnerships from the Power of Voices may be concluding, but their legacy lives on.
